from Slade today. Quote " you have to question things when you play so well and still lose 3-0 ". JT must have peeded himself laughing..... What is this utter pure joke of a man still doing in charge of our club. FFS Fenty grow a set of balls and sack this moron tonight whilst we still have a club left and a few fans. This is the worst shape we have ever been in, and we will go down under Slade, that I am confident of. Are we trying to get relegated ?????? Is this part of the way forward for the club. If we lose at Cambridge, or should I say when we lose at Cambridge, the fans ought to boycott the Exeter game if Coco is still in charge. Somehow are backward Board of dead-beat directors need to get the message, this man will take us down, get rid now before it is too late. We go non-league again, and in my opinion we are finished as a club, simply because it could be avoided. Mr Slade, if you had one ounce of self respect you would resign with immediate effect and do the decent thing. You are not wanted at this football club, just go tonight FFS.................

He know he's gone, he was utterly despondent when giving that interview. He has no ideas left, nowhere to go and has lost belief.
He's waiting for a pay off, and he's no amateur when it comes to waiting for severance pay. I'd do the same, as all of us would on daft contracts. Your move John, make it now for the good of the team, the fans and Russell who already has his bags packed.

Reminds me of Neweel's quote of we look good in training whilst losing and not having a clue how to turn things around.

| Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Of course we look good in training, it's because they are training against each other, there all crap. If just one good player came in we would make him look like Messi in training, playing competitive games is something completely different.

While we're on brilliant quotes. One that got overlooked a bit on those "tapes" last week..
"It doesn't matter how many fans we take away because it doesn't benefit the club's finances."
I thought about this quite a lot today when it was announced that we only took 242 to Crawley. 242 fans that deserve the highest of praise for going. Any games around the London area and beyond have always been well supported, 600+ to Portsmouth and decent numbers to Bromley for example, and they were on Tuesday nights.
I can't get my head around JF's train of thought for saying this. Surely any chairman worth his salt would want as many fans to travel to every away game to support the club. It's a sense of togetherness, community and being all as one and had set us apart from similar sized clubs.
I feel so out of kilter with pretty much everything the club does and what it believes in. I have done for a very long time. PR on the pitch, eye for an eye vendettas, poor treatment of a great SLO are three recent examples in a massive long list which also extends to the playing side recruitment policies and matchday experiences at BP. Now if the team and the club were progressing and the board were pumping millions in of their own cash, I'd be prepared to suck it up a little, but we're not, we're going backwards rapidly and recent new investment is non existent.
So if JF wields the axe like he should and sacks Slade this weekend, I'm sure they'll be a massive increase in turnout at Cambridge on Saturday. What I don't want to happen is, for JF to suddenly gain a new lease of life in thinking he can take us forward using the increase in support as some kind of mandate for him to ride on. I seriously don't agree with our club's boardroom mentality.
If Slade goes, it's a massive step forward to ensuring our Football League survival, but from a personal point of view, there's still a lot of radical changes to be made for me to fully believe in my club again..

And yet he urged us not to boycott Stevenage next season at the fan's forum. He claimed it was because it would effect the team but I suspect there's more to it than that.

It was 394 away at Bromerley. Well for the last season we were in the conference anyway, I haven't got the stats for previous seasons.
The lowest away attendance last season for us was 256 away on a Tue night at Newport. So far this season we are averaging 638 away compared to 955 last season.
Over the last 5 away games, we have averaged 289 compared to the corresponding fixtures last season which was 541.

He's inconsistent. Not a good sign.

Keeping Salde will mean we're all boycotting Stevenage next season, in favor of a trip to another crummy tin pot club but in the National League
