If you think Sweden is expensive for alcohol treat yourself and go to Norway. Lager was over £5 a pint when I first went 25 years ago and last year when I was there again s bottle of beer was about £12- £15 if my memory serves me right!! I hasten to add my liver had never been in such good condition. It certainly wasn’t bothered by excess drinking that’s for sure!! #UTM

Hold on - no need to scare people away from my country of origin. There are several places still where you can get a beer for about £8 or £9. Probably a 0,4 liter, but still... You must have been at a really expensive place, maybe a hotel? But I am glad on your liver`s behalf!

as long as you are getting paid £30-40 per hour it all balances out .....are the wages that good over there ?

I guess median wages are just a little below £30 per hour, but there are a lot of people not earning more than around £20 per hour. They will have to buy less beer!
