The Mariners Trust and the club have joined forces to help raise money for the Christian Action Resource Enterprise during their food bank collections.

The club is raffling off a signed home shirt. Tickets are £1 each and can be purchased here --> http://www.aitsafe.com/cf/add......aiser&price=1.00

The Trust is auctioning a signed 13/14 home shirt, which is also framed. That's on ebay here --> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Signed-and-framed-2013-Grimsby-town-FC-football-shirt/272966660280

Both end Friday afternoon. All the proceeds from both shirts will go to CARE. The Trust will also match the eBay money up to £100 (food donations and cash).

We can present the winners with their shirts on the pitch before the game. If you're an exile and would like to help CARE then buying some raffle tickets would be a great way of doing so.

Great stuff! All I would say re the homeless is that if you see someone in that predicament hot food and drink is often more appreciated than a couple of quid in their cup.

Foodbanks are not the preserve of homeless folk though. The vast majority of foodbank users are people in very low paid employment who simply can not afford to feed their family. Excellent work by the Trust btw.

Is there somewhere in BP anyone who goes to the bar for the early game might be able to leave donations as it reads as though the collection is outside the ground?

You can leave donations at the club shop or I'm sure one of the trust board in the Lower Trust bar for the 'surgery' between 1pm-2pm will help.  UTM
