I see our friends over the water have sacked another manager

If you need to see a club in turmoil and imploding this has to be the one.

I don't feel for them. Most them mudrats were watching rugby while the taaahrgers were pulling in 3k at Boothferry

Never had a problem with them except on matchday of course when it got tasty.
Whenever I've been in 'Ull and yapped to anyone they always have something decent to say about GTFC, the fans and the town it'self.
I don't mind them but you can only take people as you find them.

They've had what three spells in the Premier League? I don't feel sorry for them really because that's more than they can reasonably expect, plus the joy of getting promoted three times of course. Compared to decades of lower league football, their recent years have been good ones. People will always moan and complain, Buckley was sacked in the Championship for us because "he'd taken Grimsby as far as he could". Laughable now.

I once nearly got beaten up by a Hull thug coming out of Boothferry Park after Town drew 2-2 I think. We stood in the crumbling railway stand.

Batchy made a great save for us.

Funny thing is this thug would have beaten up a young lad that followed the Tigers as a kid as I come from Cottingham originally.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

So.... You didn't get beaten up by anyone coming out of Boothferry park.
It's statements like that do more damage than good and the reason football fans get treated as we do.

You could be right but when someone in a Hull accent comes up to you aggressively and asks you who scored for Grimsby.......I decided to keep my gob shut and I pretended I didn't have a clue.

You must be unlucky the so called Hull thugs wouldn't venture out the silver cod when they realised the GY thugs had arrived they drew the curtains barricaded the doors and stayed put. Mind you in those days Town`s away support when it travelled in numbers usually caused problems the people who moan about today`s following have no idea.

My cousin is a season ticket holder and he says him and his mates yearn for the Hull - GTFC derbies. When we dropped into the conference I go the feeling they were genuinely missing us

I live in hope that the natural order of things will shortly be re-established with us looking down at Hull Tigers in the football pyramid (and hopefully the Scunts as well). There's something unnatural about our relative league positions to a bloke who started watching from the early eighties. God knows when things will ever get back to normal.

RH must be over the moon.

When Adkins was at Scunny, all they had to do was ask him one question and he just waffled on for ages. Nice easy job for their sports reporters now.

Watching this one with interest. He'll either rekindle the old magic and boost them to the top or just look look like another runner on the merry go round circuit of managers. I personally think his top league Premiership days are over and he's a steadt eddy but he does add some interest to the game, being both enigmatic AND English.

I love his enthusiasm for the game, I bet at 5 minutes to 3 he has his players thinking their 10 feet tall, obviously then difficult to get down for the diving headers.
