Marcus talks a good game and likes to have a laugh on his terms that is..
I worry about his tactical side of the game as we can't seem to look settled on a formation and he has had a fair few games to settle on one surely by now, ATM we are 3 5 2 which we have picked up some decent points with but is that really an attacking formation which lets be honest his words were he wants to play attacking football and entertain the fans , I haven't seen one game yet in which shows this.
I like him but he needs to come down off his perch a bit and stop thinking Grimsby is Solihull in which he was the big dog who made all the decisions , this is full time football in front of a Knowledgeable crowd who have seen both sides of it.
He needs time no doubt and in that we will see if he is as good as he thinks he is.
He clearly doesn't have the players to do what he wants. You can talk tactics and formations all day but a team with better players will always come out on top. Judge the man when he has had time to assemble his own squad. He may well turn out to be all talk but all this analysis is just pointless for now. The players were brought in by a different manager for a different style of play. He keeps telling us that we need better players, yet he keeps getting judged on this group, which he didn't sign, most of whom have contracts that are not easy to work around.

Where these players signed to play in a "different style" or just in a style that suited their capability and competency?

it is always easier to smile and laugh your way through life (football management) when you are winning, when the team start losing and there is a bit of pressure then that's when the true personality starts to come out.

We are simply not good enough to play out from the back, we do not have the players to be able to do this. Nothing wrong with trying to play some nice football higher up the park, but when the pressure is on we need to clear our lines brutally. Also nothing wrong with a goal kick instead of a throw. Bignot laughs about these issues and is very disrespectful to JT, who is a massive town, that will rub people up the wrong way straightaway. I too am not a fan of David Burns , but to be fair to him, he would rip Bignot to bits in a post match display as woeful as the Exeter game. You tend to get what you pay for in life, and in Bignot, yet again we have brought our manager out of fooball's Poundland. Time will tell, but we look awful so far, and the more worrying aspect of all of this is that the entertainment and enjoyment has vanished from BP since MB took charge.

15 out of 33 suggests we haven't been awful. The entertainment and enjoyment at BP had vanished long before Bignot arrived.

Even under PH I can rarely remember our football being entertaining at BP. I will wait and judge MB when he has assembled his squad. This is a transition period, bound to be ups and downs on the way. Hopefully better news on Wednesday which might change the mood on here.

Aren't they just having a meeting to decide when to have the meeting about the date for the council report?
