Said it before but it's important for people in the singing section to sing the songs slowly and to keep singing them, this will allow the rest of the fans to join in = better atmosphere. Also might be a good idea to sing some of the classics like SWWF a bit more than usual as they're better known.

Drums play a vital role in any band and in any army (before the 20th century). And as GYMariner says, a good steady rhythm that we can all keep up with. Slow and steady gets you there in the end - too fast and everyone runs out of steam.
