Are we still having themes for away days? Either way, the away support is great and has been for some time. Can see us continuing the rest of the season unbeaten away, especially with the fans behind the team throughout the games.

But, at home, we need to get that 'party atmosphere' at Blundell park for the remainder of the season.

I thought the club would be doing all they could to get more fans through the gates, by putting offers on with there only being 4 home games left. But nothing yet.

For as long as we're still in the chance of promotion, we need to approach each game believing we're going to win. If you don't believe, just pretend to.

We need that "we're going up" belief in the atmosphere, no ifs, buts and maybes, we need to believe or at least make the squad and everyone else believe that we believe, we are going up (one way or another).

I'm not saying don't moan and don't criticise, nope, not at all. By all means do that, but I am saying lets not look back for too long, allow ourselves to be distracted and get stuck in the negativity for too long. Yes Hurst should take some of the blame, but lets be constructive and be that 12th man, lets look forward and focus on getting out of this god forsaken league!

Lets encourage everyone, as many as possible into Blundell park on Saturday and for the remaining 4 games. Because we CAN get out of this league, one way or the other.

Bring yourselves, your family, your friends, colleagues, anyone and everyone. Bring your scarves, flags, banners, inflatables, wigs, fancy dress, etc etc, just get that party atmosphere going.
Theme for the rest of the home games, scarves at the park, retro Grimsby, everything black and white.

Sorry if people think I'm preaching or just being an idiot. But I believe we need all the support we can get, now and until the end of the season. I like every town fan, wants out of this league. Lets really spur the squad on and show them how much it means to us.

The only way is up! Onwards and upwards! Up the Mariners!

P.S. Ignore this thread if you think it's pointless.

It's tought at home for many reasons, the biggest being the lack of away fans, away from home many Town fans are well lubricated , then there's the lack of standing. But I do get annoyed when people think the club should let part timers in for a fiver, I'd rather they stayed away than only turn up when it's dirt cheap.

I don't think 'part timers' should be a term of phrase when it comes to football. You're either a fan or you ain't. People have their reasons for not turning up week in, week out. We shouldn't be so judgemental and just let each to their own.

We should be encouraging fans to turn up.

Though the subject of ticket prices is another topic really. But my opinion is, ticket prices are too high in general (not just at our club either). But at a time like this where we need the fans to be the 12th man more than ever, we need to do what we can to encourage others through the gates of Blundell park. Though I know the only reason offers are usually put on are because there's a sponsor (Grimsby telegraph for example) willing pay up for any potential losses.

But that's off topic anyway. This is about creating an atmosphere at BP for the remainder of the season and spurring the lads onto promotion.

So clear your throats everyone, and make yourselves heard on Saturday. UTM

Very true G, I know part timers can be annoying BP, I keep dreaming about a playoff final and thinking of the 12,000 who would be there sharing the joy when they normally were not there, where were you at Dartford, Welling and Gateshead.  But then I remember why do I care? If we are going up I won't give a toss that I feel I have earnt it more than some, we will have done it and I will be too busy cheering about that to care about others.

I really do feel the fans can make a difference, even on Saturday I felt us fans chanting 'PH Black and White Army' consistently for five minutes dragged us torwards are second goal.  I critcise Hurst for not being positive enough in thinking we can do it, but at the same time I am something of a pessimist and struggle to belive it myself.  It really is the business end now and the smallest things can make a difference, hopefully we as fans can enter into the equation.

Scarves have got to be a good simple thing for home games. The whole Ponny swirling them around Italian style would be a great sight.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Plus bring those flags you got for the Barnet game,

Sing from the Kick Off and don't stop,

We can still do this if we don't drop any more points.

Think Barnet lose to Halifax tonight, it could bring back some of that belief we had before the Chester game.

Come on Halifax, help us out and provide us with a life line.

6 points from the top with a game in hand. Dare to dream again?

Whether you believe or not, just hope, hope for the best, as fans that is all we can do.

It ain't half a bumpy ride, but we'll appreciate it more when our day arrives.

Now lets focus on promotion. The opening chant at kick off on Saturday should be "ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!" From every stand in Blundell park.
