I've been sent this email from the club. It's today when the local plan stuff needs to be in. Thank you to everyone who has completed the Local Plan survey. It’s really important to point out that it’s not ‘job done’ and we still need your help in completing the council’s own on-line consultation before Friday's 5pm deadline. We do appreciate the time taken to do this. All you have to do is register http://nelincs-consult.objective.co.uk/common/register.jspand then login here http://nelincs-consult.objective.co.uk/portal/new_local_plan1. Select ‘Consultation Draft Local Plan’ 2. Click ‘Read and comment on document’ 3. Click on Section 16 ‘Football Stadium relocation’ 4. Click ‘Next Page’ to navigate to comments page 5. Dropdown list (choose for example object or support) 6. Add your own comments 7. Finally click submit

The question they ask for responses to is:
"Are there specific site locations that you consider should be examined with respect to the relocation of Grimsby Town Football Club?
If so, please identify the location."
I'm not sure me writing "Please include the club's relocation to Peaks Parkway in the local plan because x,y,z" really answers that.
All the objections seem to be saying why it shouldn't be at Peaks Parkway, very few identify other actual locations or give any reasonable explanation as why the suggested sites would be more suitable.

Is is also worth commenting on section 8 - Housing supply as this is tied into the Stadium Plan?

Reponse looks pretty positive so far. There's a few NIMBY's getting in on the act, Widlife Trust etc but the more we drown them out the more pressure the council will be under to ignore them too! Do this now, it only takes a minute!

Yes, drown them out because wildlife and nature arent important to the eco system at all are they ? Reasoned and factual arguments from both sides is what is vital to this debate and decision process not propoganda or half truths. Reading last (?) nights telegraph and the council sound so amateurish it is almost unbelievable when it comes to planning applications, some planning applications passed with local concerns and objections ignored ( a classic comment in relation to an application in Stallingborough alongside the rail line from a councillor " well the houses will probably be bought by rail enthusiasts so they wont complain about the trains") and some planning applications refused despite the planning dept saying there are no grounds on which to refuse it on. The council do not appear to have a clue when it comes to these big developments and the developers have the money and the legal loopholes to drive a bus straight through their petty objections, just saying they dont want it there isnt a valid grounds for refusal. More worrying for me though is the fact that JF raises concerns and supports objections to new housing development applications in the Humberston and New Waltham area.........well...except one.

If it was a democrasy it would be a landslide victory!
Unfortunatly mr defreitas has not got his pockets filled on this one so may be a stumbling block. If its like Great coates people power will not work, midlle class money power will say NO| Rare birds n such like my rectal passage!

Just spent over a bloody hour writing the reasons why I support the stadium, and missed it by 6 minutes. Should be closed at midnight, not when the pen pushers finish work!

Only so much housing will be granted and needed. The Comminity Stiadium project must be a priority for this to happen. Read in to that what you will. UTM

Yess...but there are proposals already ahead of this one in the immediate area; Waltham Fire Station Toll Bar Hewitts Circus x 2 Humberston Ave there is only so much demand for new housing.
