Sounds like a bloody stupid situation.

Let's hope some common sense is shown by the magistrate when it comes to court.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Only £1.95 with free postage off Ebay. I had one of these on Saturday but it wouldn't deflate after the game so I left it there. Just choose "Shark" in the "select" box.

Trying to see the incident on highlights but can't get it on full screen. The incident apparently took place during celebrations after Craig Disley's injury time goal for Town.

I can just see this case being laughed  out of court.

Steward-"  I was stood at the front of the stand my lord,

When Grimsby scored a goal, 1,000 fans surged forward in excitement ,

The accused although being pushed front back and sideways,

Hit me on the head with a inflatable shark,

It really hurt and I had to have 7 days off work with a headache,

I have now got a phobia about going near sharks,

It has ruined my life,"

Just goes to show how badly football fans are treated.

Get assaulted at a game by a steward (FGR) = no action taken at all, complete and utter whitewash

Have your inflatable shark allegedly come in to contact with a steward whilst celebrating a goal = arrest, interim banning order etc.

Frustratingly no news on the steward it seems. I hope he pulls through. This thread has become comical but I know from experience that if an inflatable hits you in the head there is a very, very high chance that you will be aware that it has contacted you. #prayForTheSteward

It has become a jokey thread but the effect of a criminal record for assault is very serious indeed .. I do not live far from the area and would love to be in the public gallery to see this case if it comes to court

OMG just seen they have added a video to the article.  I thought it was going to be of the incident but no it's just of all the inflatables.

Now I'm no prude but did the editor really think that a video with a giant inflatable P'nis and a sex toy with huge br'asts is really acceptable for a family paper!!!

No wonder the comments have been disabled!

This would be the perfect time for the club to get a load of the legendary inflatable Harry Haddocks made and sold. They'd make a lot of money out it too.
