57 entries for Game 3, another superb response. We have a total fund of £570. Of this I will be donating £140 to The Mariners Trust (just under the usual 25%, but this keeps us from having any odd 50p's left).

The prize fund therefore is £430. There will be a £60 prize for the first team or teams to score nil on 3 consecutive weeks and a £60 prize for the team or teams who are the lowest scorers when the 1st prize is won. 1st prize for this game therefore will be £310 which will be won (or shared) by first team or teams to score exactly 21 goals.

A quick reminder of the rules.

The winner will be the first team, or teams to score EXACTLY 21 goals. Only games between Friday and Monday count. If your team plays twice during this period then only the first game will count, If for any reason your team doesn't play between Friday-Monday for any reason (i.e postponements or international breaks) you score a default 2 goals. If a game is abandoned for any reason, then the score at the time of the abandonment will be taken.

If your team plays on the Friday or Saturday and you get the goals to make exactly 21 you must wait until the other teams have played that weekend, in case anyone else also scores 21.

Go over 21 and you are bust and out of this particular game.

Unlucky to Barralad this week who has bust on 22 with Arsenal and the 1st prize has not been won this week,There are quite a few teams now in with a chance of winning next week although, as per the rules of the competition, there will be several default "2 goals" scored due to the international break. Just a quick update as I am still away and have limited internet access.

Forest Green have won the first prize but Preston, Burton and even Wrexham could have a chance of sharing the prize. Burton play on Monday. The lowest score prize has been shared 3 ways by Lincoln (Old Ludensian), Nuneaton Town (Paul Roberts) and Walsall (Ginger Nut).

I will post the latest table and sort the lowest prize payments out when I get home tomorrow but the first prize will have to wait until after the Burton game on Monday.

A quick update after today's games. Preston failed to score the 3 goals they needed and Wrexham fell well short of the 6 they needed to score. Burton play tomorrow night and will share the first prize if they score 3 goals. No doubt Pizzzza will be watching any score updates from the game with interest.

I have paid all other prizes apart from the 1st prize which I will pay tomorrow evening after the Burton game.

There are not enough weeks left to run another game this season, so that will be that until next season when I hope to run the next game. Thanks to everyone who took part, I hope it gave you a bit more interest in the weekend results and a good amount has been raised for The Mariners Trust.

Well done Les despite non of my entries ever threatening a win

So, Game 3 has finally finished. Burton failed to get the 3 goals they needed to share the first prize tonight, in fact I was actually surprised that the game finished due to the pouring rain and state of the pitch.

This means that the first prize is won by Stuart White with Forest Green Rovers who wins £310. This was an entry which I received from The Mariners Trust emails that were sent out.

No time for a 4th game this season but this has proved far more popular than I ever thought it would and in the 3 games I have managed to donate £410 to The Mariners Trust and £1240 has been paid out in prize money.

A big thank you to everyone who has taken part in this and I will be running Game 4 at the start of next season.

Fantastic effort from you Les putting this together although never got near prizes really enjoyed it.
