Another of those games that will remain in the memory for ever. Again, nobody who was there would ever forget it. We needed 3 goals to make 100 scored in all competitions and the Mariners duly obliged in front of an incredible 23,000 crowd, plus those who'd scaled onto the old Barratt Stand roof. The CHAMPIONS sign in the second photo was paraded around the pitch by the club before going into the Pontoon for the rest of the game.
