This. You do not suddenly lose the ability to trap a ball or pass to a team mate. But you do start to struggle if you're jaded and burnt out. Give them some rest for Sunday, see if it picks up a bit and if it doesn't then I don't know, I guess we're screwed.

True, i know when i use to compete in combat sports we use to have 5 days rest before the bout, just a couple of runs to keep ticking over.

Only we are stupid enough for that. They got paid to travel a hundred miles and play sh1t. I genuinely felt embarrassed last night and I hope the players do too
