Two things stand out. 1- Says if he was a player, then he would put in a performance to make sure he would be picked for wembley. Well the managers haven't exactly rewarded performance with selection recently. They just chop players regardless.
2- the major point. defends the squad rotation policy by blaming The schedule. Well if you look at Mansfield and kiddy, they have pretty much kept the same team for every game. They seem to be coping ok!

Very good points Salford. I thought the same about Hurt's comments on it beng March and the players are tired.
FAO Messrs Hurst and Scott: It's March for every other club! SHocking excuse.

Many of the Nuneaton players have probably done a full day's work today.

Rob Scott in a recent interview about team changes:
"So, again, it won't be performance-related if there are changes."
Paul Hurst tonight on team changes:
"ultimately some players arn't performing, so its about giving others chances"

What I also don't understand is Hurst said the three previous matches despite losing we performed well in them.
Now I didn't see the Kiddy and Mansfield games but by all accounts we did well.
However how can he say we did well against Cambridge? One of the worst games of my life on Saturday and we could have played for 6 weeks and not scored..... only worsened by tonights game by all accounts.

That's what can happen when you lose games and don't perform. Facts are most people wanted "strongest" teams in games we lost to Kiddy, Mansfield Cambridge. Cambridge we didn't play too well and players like Cook, Thomas didn't perform. Ignor it all you like but it's true. Simple question - will you "rotate" and bring them back for Wembley or not ?

Hurst sounded like a school head master defending his naughty schoolboys. He will have one hell of a lesson to learn come May if we are not in the play offs and he gets his P45. Thank god I didn't buy my ticket for Wembley because these charlatans have just shown their true colours. Losing to a part-time team of postmen and factory packers is a disgrace. Well done Borough. You can't polish a turd and you've just sprayed on some Mr Sheen

When they first took over they said unacceptable performaces and lack of effort wouldn't be tolerated. They have had a very high budget and it all seems to be going to pot. Four defeats in the last 6 games is awful and the only good thing I see happening at Wembley is the club making money out of the fixture. I've got a similair feeling to one the I had when we faced MK Mongs, to be honest I'm not particularly looking forward to that long journey there and back by coach knowing that we are going into the fixture on the back of four defeats and for the large part of those we haven't competed. Send Curtis Woodhouse round because these players need to get out of first gear.

They've been winning (and much more importantly performing). Hurst said he dropped players because they weren't performing. Anyway Mansfield and Kiddy haven't got a cup final on the horizon have they ?

His previous comments about it not being Wembleyitis are starting to really worry me. That means we can't look forward to any immediate improvement in form after Sunday.

I thought we were super fit thanks to our pre season regime?
Exactly what I was thinking, In the last few weeks I have lost count of the times it has been said on here that player x, y or z looked tired, I thought our super fit players could outlast all comers, May I suggest that starting Sunday, we play our strongest team and keep to it until the end of the season,

It has happened so many time over the years to many teams that have reached a wembley final, Ignore S + H it is wembley that have effected the players, AND We will see an improvement after its over.
