He's obviously a mammary, but in his defence, he basically didn't get selected for Euro 2012 because John Terry racially abused his brother. Doesn't really surprise me that he's not too bothered about playing.

You have to feel for some of the younger members of the squad - imagine being Phil Jones or Danny Welbeck and knowing that however hard you work and whatever you achieve in the game you're never going to 'get merked'.

am not a manchester united fan, nor am i a fan of rio ferdinand (lets face it none of us actually know the lad only what the press wants to say about him) BUT i do have some sympathy regarding his situation with england. He has been a stalwart center half at the most successful club for the last decade now and he only really lost his place because of the whole john terry/anton ferdinand race row, where despite it being caught on camera john terry racial abusing him (opinions vary here i know).  i cannot blame him for sticking up for his younger brother on this one and i bloody well wouldnt want to play alongside anyone that disrespected my family in any way.  so he quite rightly has dropped out but he should have come out and said "no stuff you i wasnt guilty of anything and you chose terry over me, rot in hell fa!!!!!!!!"  that would of been a lot more honest in my opinion.
