Right what I've done is gone back to the top 5 teams and scaled it down so that they'd all played 34 games. Example, Newport have played 34 games and Wrexham have played 37, so what I've done is took off the last 3 games of Wrexham to see what points they had after 34 games, done this for the top 5. (Played 37) Wrexham back at 34 games played - won 18, drew 8, lost 9 = 65 points. (Played 36) Mansfield back at 34 games played - won 20, drew 5, lost 9 = 65 points. (Played 37) Kidderminster back at 34 games played - won 18, drew 8, lost 8 = 62 points. (Played 34) Newport at 34 games played - won 20, drew 8, lost 8 = 66 points. (Played 35) Grimsby back at 34 games played - won 18, drew 11, lost 6 = 65 points. My aim is to give a bit of hope and give the defeated town fans a different way of looking at it. As some seem to look at the table and think it's over. I know it isn't. If we had all played 37 games I wonder what the table would look like. This might be pointless I don't know but I was curious so think some might find this interesting.

Good luck with mission impossible When we were top some fans said it wouldn't last. There are always those who prefer to see the doom & gloom (every silver lining has a cloud). Suppose it could be with us being so close to Yorkshire....that is enough to make you feel miserable

also if you are going to scale it back why not scale it back to when we was top?

I found it interesting but it's a snapshot of what might have been, but because of the fixtures falling differently for us, never was or will be The next time we have all played the same number of games I would guess is the last week of the season...on Saturday 27th April we'll all start off having played 45 and by the end of the day we'll all have fulfilled our obligations to complete 46 league games Assuming of course Gateshead can find somewhere to fit all their postponements in!

Can you do another table Gary, ? Showing us on top after 46 games and all the others fighting for a play off place,

Basically if every one wins their games in hand up to Wrexhams 37 it would be Newport 75 Mansfield 74 Wrexham 71 Grimsby 70 Kidderminster 68
Forest Green 61
Lets hope Newport and Mansfield go off the boil quickly, and we hit form as theres a few points to make up.

Can't speak for all but I'd be happy with play offs, especially if we win. Lets face it though, promotion was and as far as I know still is our main aim, winning the league would be great but promotion we all know can be achieved through play offs. We just need to believe and so do the players and managers (of which I have no doubt they do).
