I wudda stayed in the midlands and gone , was only in North West Leicestershire... as it was..
cudnt get a ticket so drove home to Farnborough.....

Why would they? Town would have wanted as many of our fans as possible to attend to back the team away from BP

That has to be a smoke screen coming from Mansfield....given their form for distorting the facts to get their own way ( such as the postponement over Xmas) I know full well who I would lay the blame at the door of and it ain't Town!

Wish I'd seen this before I paid  £3 more to sit in big stand before moving down with the town fans. Still went though, they won't stop me.

yeah I can confirm this, turned up and some turnstiles were for cash only, pretty certain it was them who spread the policy about as we were getting constant reminders via them not to travel without a ticket

If it is not a proper all ticket match just do what we did - turn up ready to sit with the home supporters if you have to, and a cash gate is a bonus. Great atmosphere from the 800 fans that did come.

Couldn't believe it when I picked my tickets up and there was a sign saying 'Grimsby fans cash turnstile 10' ... or something like that!
