I'd park at Stanmore and take the tube down. I think the car park costs £1 on Sundays.

The only thing is to avoid the queue for a ticket by getting an Oyster card for the tube ride, which is cheaper than paying cash anyway.

When we paid MK Dons there was a long line of Town fans in a queue for tickets and as I had an Oyster card I avoided all that (sorry if you were in that queue).

Denham railway station just off the first junction (A40) off the M40 from the M25, Chiltern Railways straight to Wembley station and plenty of parking, did this for the JPT final.

Anyone know the best way to get down to wembley from the Hatfield/St Albans area? Was planning on parking up at the station and getting the train/tube there

You could try Cockfosters, tube into Kings Cross, change there for Metropolitan Line to Wembley. If you do not leave station at KX you are only charges Zone 5 to Zone 4.

(Alternative change at Green Park, then Jubilee line to Wembley)

Does it matter on a Sunday, travel cards are a lot cheaper and cover all zones just about.

Zone 4 to 5 is £4.50 single (Oyster £1.50) so £9.00 (£3.00 oyster) return

Travel Card is £8.90p  (£8.50 with Oyster).

Above are off peak (IE Sunday's)

Quite a bit cheaper with a family railcard, I think we got two adults and two children the other week for £15.50 or thereabouts.

On the main rd leading up to Wembley there are cheaper car parks than £15

If you're paying £15 then you're being done

Can't understand for the life of me why anyone would want to drive to the stadium.

Taken me 2hrs-ish every time i've been trying to get out of the area and that was by coach!

There's tons of parking round the stadium all within walking distance. Most companies on the industrial estates open up their premises on matchdays to make a few quid, was a tenner last time we were there.

As I've mentioned on another thread.
Wembley Tube station is free on Sundays and a little gem to park there. Get there early for a spot.

Tipped BP Vicar on it for an Oasis gig at Wembley.

A few people have asked me where to park at Wembley,

So I have suggested this car park, only £15 and 300 metres from the stadium,

See link on page one of this thread.

Well i would rather pay 20 quid to park in a safe and secure car park rather than pay 3 quid to park anywhere, just an example

No but better to pay more to be safe than pay less to be in an unsafe place

i am sure you are sensible enough to park where you are comfortable that your car is safe. i think aaron's point is that the wasp site is marshalled, with cctv for the entirity of the day so there is a feeling of it being more secure, peace of mind. i have parked up at stanmore previously and caught the tube on each time i have visited wembley, but this time i have booked and paid the £15 at wasp car park as i have assessed the car park and the marshalls they provide can only be of help in clearing the cars away at the end, they will be well drilled at it, so i feel it is a good option. also this car park has 2 exits so there is less chance of getting bottle necked all fighting to get out of one exit, so should speed things up slightly, then your near enough to be on the M1 in minutes.
