I liked the rather exasperated "TOWN ARE UTTERLY W@NK" after Neil Woods 123rd succesive game without a win some 3 years ago. And who could forget the brutal "YOU USELESS SET OF TO$$ERS" after we pathetically lost at home in the cup to Bath.

TORQUAY THE SECRET would've been quite a good one in 1993, playing on the success of the Urban Cookie Collective hit single. This isn't a Gulls headline thread though, so I should probably save it.

Not up there with the top puns of the Grim Tel but I liked "Stars in Stripes" from the Grauniad after out Autowindscreen final in 98.

Accompanied by some lovely pics including that classic showing Wayne Burnett just heading off on his run (with what looked like a QBL) and in the background the crestfallen Bournmouth players and other Town players in various stages of realisation of the goal's importance.

' Steeples Inspires Town ! '
I've no idea the game as I was a young lad (early 80s) But we were losing and our young winger John Steeples came on as sub and turned the game in our favour. I just remember the GET headline.

From the Telegraph sometime in the mid to late 1970's when Jack Lewis scored a very late winner against our Welsh foes : "Lewis wreck's 'em in injury time."
