Hereford to sneak any sort of a win tonight would be brilliant !

Dartford to beat Luton to wind up their outlaws forum again, please !

Draws elsewhere would be good.

In Div 2, I notice that Pond seems to be injured  and / or out of the 18 - anyone know what he suffered?

Too early in that game to be saying that, and there's a long way to go in this season yet.

Newport 2 up on Mansfield. That's a key game for both teams. If Wrexham win 1-0 we'll still be top with a game in hand it would seem. Barrow are having a bit of a torrid time at the moment. Mansfield smashed them for 8 and now Southport have hammered in 5 more. Luton are sh1t and it's funny

Looking at recent form I think a Newport win's a better result than a Mansfield win. A draw would've been nicer though.

Always a long shot to expect anything from Braintree at FGR. Just hope we can do the same to them a week tonight.

C'mon Hereford!

In reality I can't imagine my town fans expected Wrexham to drop points tonight and although I still think Newport are out of the title run in so to speak I think that win against Mansfield might also put the brakes on their charge too.

Not a great night but once our game was off it was o ly what I expected...

I did notice massive and ambitious Luton did well again.

No way are Luton going to challenge for the title now. Couple of more losses and play-offs will be a big ask as well.

Wrexham still the main challenge after tonight's games.

Mansfield and Luton both had their noses rubbed with defeats - so much for games in hand over us !

Main thing is we're still top tonight !

Could only dream about draws from Wrexham/ Newport and FGR.

Luton are just that comical team that keep giving.

Still top even though we've let them all play an extra game.

Next up for massive Luton is Millwall on Saturday. A thrashing for Luton and I reckon Buckle could be sent packing.

Newport 2 - 0 mansfield is a very good result for us, mansfield were starting to scare me and have looked alot more threatening than newport have recently, obviosly nobodys a write off

hereford 0 - 1 wrexham obviously a bad result for us, but thats a title race it won't be easy, just glad to see they didn't destroy hereford

forest green 4 - 1 braintree  not an unexpected result, forest green look good but can't see them beating kidderminster in the game theyve got coming up

Dartford 1  - 0 Luton Town, not saying it should be an easy game but luton are sliding away tragically at the minute, the manager will get sacked at some point guaranteed

Stockport 2 - 0 Lincoln hahahaha careful lincoln, 6 points off the relegation places at the minute, the end of season battle hasn't started yet, the teams that start fighting and getting suprise results could shoot past them very quickly if they don't start fighting too

WHS; good summary.  Many teams at bottom have either a goalscorer or a new boss, or a million games in hand (gateshead), not sure lincoln have any of those bonuses

Was gonna say has anyone else noticed how fleetwoods form has improved since pond went back, but looked and he didn't even play for them tonight. Probably nothing and he won't be coming back, but if he did, would they wait until the 3 months covers the playoffs, just incase

The way I see it, in every round of games there's always one or two of the challengers who drop points.  Newport won tonight but drew on Saturday.

We just need to keep picking up points and we should be ok - no sign of anyone on a sustained surge.  Wrexham will be hardest to shake off.  Would be great to beat them at Wembley to exert superiority.

Relatively pleased. Mansfields form was starting to scare me. Wrexham are probably our main rivals. Luton and Forest Green don't impress or scare me to the same extent as Wrexham and Mansfield but it's still all to play for. With games coming thick and fast, we're likely to drop points, we just have to hope it's less than our rivals.

Pond wasn't even in the matchday squad last Saturday either.

However we don't need him except for back-up, we have only conceded in one match out of 5 since he left.

Hasn't this Pond thing been well covered? He's injured is he not?

Agree about the results on balance. Is our next league game 26th February, home to Ebbsfleet?

Shame no sodomist told the BBC the game was off - I just drove back from Bury Sy Edmunds and the results came on 5 Live and they gave Town Nuneaton as a 0-0 draw FFS - nearly had a heart attack

think it's between us and the 2 taff clubs now. everyone else is 5 points behind or more, which would be very difficult to claw back given how the 3 contenders are going.
i sincerely hope we lose the semi and let wrexham have the extra game and lose the focus before the 'massive' tin pot trophy final. i can honestly say i'd prefer to go 6 points clear in the league that weekend rather than go to wembley

The cup would be nice but if its one or the other then it is a no brainer.

Obviously promotion comes before the Trophy but now we are in the semis it's only 1 extra game and a great opportunity to make some money.

I for one will be gutted if Dartford knock us out.

this. now we got to the semi's it will only be 1 game, but that 1 game could help hugely !

a win at Wembley will be a huge confidence boost

There are no guarantees that if we lose on Saturday then our chances of promotion will increase. For that reason I hope we win and progress to Wembley.

As York proved last season this cup distraction stuff is made up bollox. A fixture backlog could well have repurcussions but as I say if we knock Dartford then it's just one extra game that's all.

It'd be crazy not to go for it now - if we go out at this stage we've played all the games bar one and that one game is the only one worth any money. Getting to the Trophy final isn't just about a piece of silverware but about bringing some money into the club. The other thing is that you make it sound like we can cut some kind of deal where we win the league if we let Wrexham win the trophy. When York knocked us out of it last year were you saying 'That's fine, we'll win the play-off final'? Likewise, in 1998/99 were you hoping we lost to Burnley in the Northern Final? Who's to say that had we not won the JPT we wouldn't have got promoted either?

There might have been an argument to be made in the early rounds for not taking it seriously and playing a second-string but that argument isn't valid any longer in my opinion. Also and perhaps most importantly, supporting Town has been mostly excrement for 10 years and I fancy a cup final at Wembley. It can only help maintain and grow the positive attitude that seems to be round the club at the minute imo.

i just hope you're right rodley and psg. it's just that following town you can't help but see doom and gloom around every corner.
i  hate this non league stuff with a passion and don't want anything to jeopardise the championship race - i can easily see us losing the game immediately before or after the final due to tiredness/ anticipation/ over celebration /hangover and for me the money and a nice day out just isn't worth it
