It's back for the Real Madrid v Man Utd game on Wednesday.

Great chance to recoup some losses!

At current odds I would guess

Real pre game £50 at 8/13 = £80.70 return (plus the 'losing' £50 inplay bet) (no profit)
Draw in play £50 at 7/2 = £225 (£95 profit)
United win £30 at 9/2 = £165 (plus the 'losing' £50 inplay bet) (£85 profit)

The odds are against United so it makes it difficult to balance. It might be worth looking at BTTS.

BTTS Yes 4/6 £50 before the game = £83 (plus the 'losing' £50 inplay bet) gives 33.30 profit
BTTS No 11/10 £50 in play = £105 which gives £5 profit

True enough yeah, you could stick another £30 of the potential winnings from United or the Draw on Real winning and it would give you:

Real = £180 back for £160 stake - £20 profit
Draw = £225 back for £160 stake - £65 profit
United = £215 back for £160 stake - £45 profit

Its limited for your 'free' bet yeah. So the inplay draw would be limited to £50, but you can bet what you like on the others.

You can always check with their customer services - but make sure you save the chat.

Cheers Biggles

I'm not too impressed with Bet365 at the minute

Had a bet on Friday night for the Hull v Bradford RL game which was postponed

I thought Hull on Friday might have struggled given their circumstances so went with a Bradford win but they "replayed" it yesterday and instead of giving a refund for a postponement which is what I thought should have happened, my bet went forward to the re-arranged game yesterday which Hull won...

On my transaction history it shows the event date as 8-2-10 (Friday) but it wasn't actually played then, so surely that should have been voided?

There's probably something in the small print they use against you but I felt a refund would have been in order and then if I'd wanted to back Hull yesterday for example when their preparations were much better than Friday night I could have done

Oh well....maybe Wednesday night I'll get my revenge on them and take a few quid back!

I think in football that as long as the game is replayed within 48 hours then the bet stands, so I can only assume that it is the same in the rugby.

I'm surprised by the current odds, thought Madrid might be more like 4/5 or 10/11. Probably wishful thinking though!

Spot on Biggles..just found this on their site

Postponed Matches
Are void unless re-arranged and played in the same 'Rugby Week' (Monday - Sunday inclusive UK time).

I had an accumulator which involved the Poland v England game that was rained over earlier in the season and was waiting to find out what the result was to win my bet.

Wish the game had been called off full stop now.....

That game did cross my mind

Seems like they have you every which way, so I won't feel too guilty about taking advantage of their deal on Wednesday

Stolen from another forum:

Real Madrid £50 @ 8/13 B365 returns £80.76
Man Utd £14.50 @ 5.8 Betfair returns £80.62
Draw ( In play ) £50 @ 3/1 returns £200

Real Madrid +£16.26
Man Utd +£16.12
Draw +£85.50

So the draw would be the best result and B365 currently have it at 7/2, 3/1 should be readily available just after kick off.

madrid 50 with bet365 at 8-13 = 80.77
           40 with paddy power at 4-6 = 66.66    total = 147.43

manure 27 with bet victor at 9-2 = 148.50

in play draw 50 at c.3-1 = 150

total spent = 117 so min. £30 profit

I've loaded it against a Real win:

Madrid £50 @ 8/13 B365      - Returns £130.76 (£80.76 + £50)
Utd In-Play £50 @ 9/2 B365 - Returns £275
Draw £30 @ 4.6 Betfair         - Returns £188 (138 + £50)

So, 76p profit if Real win (at what I consider slightly short odds), £58 profit for the draw and £145 if Utd win.

Also: should Utd take the lead; there's the option of laying them to spread out the gains more evenly.

Just been having a play with this and I've tried to keep it simple by doing only two bets. I've never bothered with these promos before so can someone check my calculations?

Pre-match
£50 on double chance DRAW/MAN UTD @13/10 returns £115 = £65 profit

In play
£50 on REAL MADRID @8/13 returns £80.76 - £50 pre match bet = £30.76 profit

Hmmm, seems too good to be true?

They might get a bit funny about you 'guaranteeing a result' (ie. Bet365 will definitely be down). Not sure how harsh they are on this.

Actually, this wouldn't win! If the in play bet wins you only get 80 quid back. The pre match bet's not refunded.

Yeh, I accounted for that - £80 returns minus the losing prematch bet = £30 profit?? I think!

£50 on double chance
£50 on Madrid

£100 on and £80 back. Think that's right anyway!

I went with:
£50 Real Madrid (8/13 Bet 365)
£10 Real Madrid (4/6 Paddy Power)
£20 Man Utd (9/2 Coral)
£50 in play draw (3/1? Bet 365)

Real Madrid win = £17.44 up
Draw = £70? up
Man Utd win = £30 up

Ive gone with:

£80 Real at 8/13
£50 in play draw at 3/1(?)
£30 United at 9/2

gives me:

£180 back on Real = £20 profit
£200 back on the draw = £40 profit
£215 back on United = £55 profit

Latest odds on Bet 365 are as follows:

Madrid - 13/20
Draw - 17/5
Man U - 17/4

Bit stingy odds on Madrid. Guess lots are doing the in play thing.

Got 5.0 on Betfair draw... But worse on Real on 365... lose £2 if Real win. Won't mind if Fergie pulls something out. Shame I have to support United now

Made a few quid myself last night but to be fair Abdul BET365 are not going to cry too much about their losses

I'm pretty sure, in the coming weeks, they'll see most of our winnings heading back their way one way or another, as I don't think too many of us will just bank the money until their next deal

Think they are trying to folk hooked on in play betting. Not working with me, I don't like it one bit.

Would rather watch the game than fanny around working out value odds, refreshing my screen etc.
