Against Lincoln and Mansfield??? True our strikers haven't contributed to the goals so much that losing Hannah is disastrous, but, if we're playing with Cook and...?... Up front, then can we realistically put their defences under constant threat like we have in the last few games at BP.

One thing for sure is cookie is playing his best stuff for town so far, so he is definitely going to be dangerous, but if he is winning headers with no real partner to pick up the follow on, how effective can he be? Do we just replace Hannah with G Pearson and hope he shows us something which we've not yet seen? Can we realistically play Cook as a lone striker?

Thoughts...?

Guessing Pearson seen as they used him in the last game. Still not sure on Southwell. If not they may go 4-3-3 with Marshall and Colbeck either side of Cook.

Most of the outfield players are capable of chipping in with goals. As long a 1 or 2 of them find the net we will be ok.

Is it worth going 4-3–3 after all the success and quality we've had at 4-4-2... G Pearson has scored goals at this level and higher, I would love it if he could show us something in these 2 games. As for Southwell, he gets into scoring positions almost every game he plays, which shows he has class, and has a few assists to his name this season IIRC. I like Southwell coming on the wing and stretching the full back's legs in the last 20mins really, and though I've seen nothing of Rankine, he doesn't sound like a suitable replacement for Hannah over this period.

Cook and Pearson(G), with a goal threat also from Disley, Marshall and Colbeck and from set pieces Pearson(S) and Pond. Throw into the mix an occasional blinder from Niven and I say we pretty alright

I would go with 442 Cook and Pearson, Pearson has the work rate to play off cook and they're both capable of scoring goals. I think Greg could surprise us over this Christmas. Rewards come to those who give effort and these two certainly do

1-0 gives us 3 points the same as a 4-0 win,

We will be OK.

just had a look at their message board, some of them think they don't defend set pieces very well.

Over the last few games it's an area we've started to look dangerous at, so here's hoping!!

We scored 4 past Mansfield before when Cook wasn't playing so well and we didn't have Marshall. And we didn't need Neilson or Hannah in that game.

Lets believe in the players we have and get behind who ever plays as I'm sure with the great support the team will get over this period anyone pulling on the famous black and white shirt will be bursting with pride to do their best for the Mighty Mariners

Have followed Town for all my life during the ups and downs.

My son plays for school of excellence which is so well run without any funding and can see some future stars in the lower age teams.
