Talking to people at work, a lot of floating supporters don't realise we are at home on Friday night.

This got me thinking as to what can be done to make sure all our fans are aware of home games that are coming up.

I am old enough to remember the old flyers that were put up on buses & in pubs with the next months games in big letters, so they could be read from a distance without having to go over to them. The ones on the buses were even visible as they went past.

I don't think they would cost much to print, trust members could take them to display in their local pub, shop etc, Maybe the council could display some in the precinct & public buildings etc.

i am sure that if people are aware of the games coming up they can make arrangements to get tickets instead of ending up shopping with their wives!

I'm with you on this. I think there is more that can be done to get fans at BP, simply by advertising the games. I only know 2 places they advertised, a big bill board near Macdonalds and the Telegraph. I advertise it a lot through facebook but that's seen by a couple of hundred that's it. It needs to be advertised everywhere. Telegraph, everywhere you mentioned and maybe others take 5 mins to post it their facebook walls once every other day. Every little helps and that.

As I have said before a printable PDF document would be a good thing to have on the Trust site. Wrexham do it:

Is that not what the club should be doing?

Let's have it right, The Trust should not become the marketing department of GTFC. If the Trust are to spend any of their funds on flyers and adverts, they should be produced with the intention of increasing Trust membership.

PSG's pdf idea is a good one and it wouldn't cost the Trust anything just printing for those of us who want to do it. The Trust are there to help the club and this would be a simple way of doing it by hopefully bringing a few extra people through the turnstiles very week.
