In the grand scheme of things I wouldn't mind the win and the 6k prize money for club tomorrow but is it worth risking our best players to go out and win it before the festive period?

Stick a reserve team out. They should be more than capable. If not never mind

Im interested, wish I was home to see the game. Gutted every time I miss a game, trying to get home for the game on Jan 5th but more likely Jan 22nd

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Doesn't matter how big we think we are £6g pays a lot of bills so well worth banking and going into our biggest match of the season on the back of of a win can't hurt

The team needs to be as strong as possible they need game time before Friday to keep them match fit, its no good going in against Wrexham after a longish layoff thats when injuries happen

Winning breeds winning simply really. Yes I dare say we might take off our better players earlier, especially if we are winning comfortably.

I care about every game, I want us to win every game. Yes with hindsight sometimes the odd cup defeat doesn't hurt you, look what's happened since we lost to kiddy, we've gone top twice and been playing well.

If we were to lose today would it ruin our season? I doubt it but when a team is on a flyer you want to keep going. A win going into the Wrexham game would be good too.

I hope we win as I do every game we play, but this trophy just rubs our temporary tinpotery even more in my face, so I choose to ignore its existence.
