I would always use a fork if there was one available

Start off with fork, attack the middle, then it cools, throw the fork and go in for the kill with the hands. . . Doesnt everyone?

No fork.  I like to nibble away at the edge, then peel off the pastry "lid", guzzle that and then I pretty much inhale the rest (hence no fork, that could end in tears).

Very much depends on the type of pie. It is very difficult to eat my favourite chicken balti without. It also depends on how hot the filling is.

there is only one way to eat a half time pie, and thats the old traditional way in just picking it up with your hands and watching the bottom fallout and the contents of some very iffy steak and kidney fall all over your lap. washed down with a bovril of course !!!!!!!!11
