Mine was definitely the 1970's. OK, all I watched was children's TV but it was a million miles better than the bilge kids have to put up with today. Looking back though most TV of that era was brilliant; there may only have been three channels but they showed quality (even the excrement was quality compared to today). We now have hundreds of channels and nothing worth watching.

Top 70's TV: Tiswas (if your parents were still in bed)/Swap Shop (if they weren't), Worzel Gummidge, Tom Baker as Doctor Who, The Sweeney, Porridge, Morecambe and Wise at their peak.

Mr McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

The 70s....especially in the school holidays. Some of the following were made in the 50s/60s but were shown during the 70s.

Champion The Wonder Horse, Casey Jones, The Flashing Blade, Banana Splits, The Double Deckers, Why Dont You, The Ghostbusters (TV), Robinson Crusoe, Timeslip.......... I could go on and on.

Batch, K.Moore, Waters, Wiggington, Crombie, Brolly, Ford, Drinkell, Mitchell, Cumming, Kilmore. D.Moore, Stone, Liddell. ....1979/80..... now that WAS a team.

The 1950's was the best, before then all we had was one channel the BBC,

It did not start until tea time 5-00 pm and closed at 10,30 ish ,  plus in between programmes all you got was the test card,

Then in 1953  we got ITV  , ADVERTS GALORE ! they were a great in those days,

The broadcasting hours slowly increased starting earlier and earlier and closing down later and later,

A bit different to todays 100's of channels and on 24 hours a day .
