In  1971/72 we won the Fourth Division Championship, scoring 88 goals.  Exciting times and big gates.  Great memories for those of us old enough to be following Town that season and enjoyed the attacking football.

The manager that season was Lawrie McMenemy.  This success was 40 years ago.  In less than 24 hours or even next Sat, Town can go top.  The guest of honour at the Trust do later this month (16th) is ..................Lawrie McMenemy.

Not quite the same IMO, if anyone can call these exciting times they need to get out more, as for big gates...
If we do manage to win this shitty wanky poxy league it wont in any way come near to that night against Exeter.
It will be a flipping relief though.
