I'm sure us Town fans enjoying a pre-match drink or two before making our way to Hyde will outnumber the odd few Ajax fans who will be in the city for their Champs League fixture at Man City.

I went there when we went to OT for the Team GB Olympics game. Wasn't overly impressed to be honest, although it is free entry.

I on the other hand was very impressed with the National Football Museum when I visited in August. Free entry, lots of interesting memorabilia on display and the 'Homes of Football' exhibition on the top floor is a wonderful portrait of football as I know it over the last 20 years (i.e. not the evil corporate Sky Premier League way football seems to be going). Make sure you take time to watch the 10 minute documentary about Stuart Roy Clarke (the guy behind the exhibition). It's really interesting and well shot with a lovely soundtrack by British Sea Power.

The other sit down film they're showing in the main museum area is pretty decent viewing too.
