They do that about 2 or 3 times a season. The 2 lowest are usually us and Barrow.

Average no of away fans at each ground to end Oct (eg Tamworth have an average of 313.9 away fans at each of their HOME games, making them the most popular place to visit!!!!!!!!!!!)

No idea about Mansfield, at least 400 though so you are more than likely right.

Pretty obvious really when most teams bring less than 100 fans. It's only the 526 that Mansfield brought that's keeping the average as high as it is.

As for the difference between Dartford and Ebbsfleet, I haven't checked but I assume that Ebbsfleet have maybe played Luton at home whilst Dartford haven't yet.

If we can attract more away fans that would help the financial side massively however it will be hard because luton are big away from home but we are quite away from them so that shall put off a couple hundred also wrexham are far away, Lincoln shall only fetch like 600 compared to 1000 plus at sincil bank, could town beat 1717 at sincil bank? I say yes!

Table above shows total supporters mileage. We have now travelled over a million miles watching Town this season but Luton remain way ahead of us. Macclesfield surprise me i would have thought they would have had more travelling fans, i expected more of them last week.

Luton is bigger place than Grimsby and they have always had good following whatever division they are in.

One thing you have to remember though, you can 50k every week, doesn't mean you'll ever win anything or be any good, just look at Newcastle. Luton's been top of the attendance league every year they've been down here and every year when it come to that one important game they've bottled it and those high numbers means diddly squat...

He's talking of "fan miles" if I may be so bold as use an expression like that, multiplying the amount of fans going away by the distance travelled, to give the total amount of "fan miles" travelled so far this season. Still not scientific, can't we have the Duckworth Lewis method brought into the equation to make it even more perplexing?

Yeah I figured that much les lol, but I mean why do we get so little coming here, is it purely a distance issue? I'd if thought this would be a decent away day for most other teams.

The reason why we don't get many fans coming here is that most teams are southern based, this means the fish and chips phenonomen doesn't appeal to those soft southern shandy drinking jellied eel scoffing southern poofs.

Although those figures are only accurate if every single Town fan actually travelled from Grimsby to games!  

Luton rarely bring many to BP.

The midland clubs have the best away fan attendeces because they are closer to everyone....intercourse me I am a Sherlock

unfortunately vegan foods are still transported around the country and possibly further due to the specialist nature of the manufacturing there are less suppliers covering larger areas.....

Luton are more likely than not to be live on TV when they some to us. This reduces the number of away fans.
