They owe it all to their chairman, a bit like us,

BUT

The plumber working at my house ( who is a big Ipswich fan )

Thinks he will pull the plug soon, demand his money back.

AND

Sell the ground,

Ah well !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see that Pete - he might bale out but he'll not create any waves - he likes to remain un-noticed and avoids publicity. No one even knew what he looked like for 3 years!

I was only quoting what Gary the plumber told me mate,

BUT

Agree with you about Marcus Evans, he likes to keep a low profile.

Yes, a win at Birmingham is a good start to try and change things. The debts will have less significance if the team is consistently winning.

I never liked Ipswich as a club ,reason being they never used to bring many fans to Blundell park dispite us always taking loads there and them getting crowds 3-4 times that of us .Nowich always used to fill the away end mind  and thats about the same size club and the same distance to travel

I have lived in Suffolk for over 25 years and I have learnt two things,

1. Suffolk born people tend to marry one of their  family,

2. Suffolk born people do not like to leave their county.

I know people in my village who have never left Suffolk.

Why all this hating for Ipswich? It was always a well run club, until fairly recently, and one that regularly punched above its weight, playing great football and often beating much bigger clubs. I remember seeing them batter St Etienne 4-1 away, when I lived in Switzerland, in the UEFA Cup. One of their legendary performances in Europe. We've always done pretty badly away at Portman Road, though. I seem to remember a 4-1 defeat (or even 4-0?), among many excrement performances by Town there.
