Now confirmed.

It'll be his 3rd spell as manager. Maybe it will be as successful as Sir Alan's 3rd spell here.

Certainly looks like they are following our blueprint to non league

It also looks like I have been proved right again, no need to apologise dirty scunts, my source is spot on

"Steve Wharton, the Scunthorpe United chairman, has said he will quit his role in the summer.
He revealed his departure at a press conference on Monday, reported by BBC Radio Humberside, after appointing Brian Laws as manager for his third stint."

Why don't clubs ever learn. Return to the past is never the way forward. Its like going back to places you have been on holiday, never the same second time round. This will end in tears and yes there are echoes of GTFC's slide from The Championship and they have even less financial support.

Nearly £2 million in debt to Wharton and leaking £30K a week, they are amplifying our demise.

A couple of losses and they will be on his back. Plus I think their top scorer Leon Clarke will be off as he is only on loan and alot of championship clubs are sniffing around him.

Wharton has been clever in announcing laws and him stepping down at the same time.  Massive problems ahead for the scunts and like I said before no one interested in putting the money he has into the club, he is even offering to give his shares away.

I'd be surprised if a Championship club went near him.

Laws will only last until next season when they are in L2,

He will then leave and George Kerr will be appointed to finish the job of getting the scunts into the BLUE SQUARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Scunny have played a blinder with this one. Laws cut his teeth at BP and my criticism at the time was he was signing too many players who he called Rough diamonds. I recall Nicky Southall being one. Unfortunately these rough diamonds had to play week in week out and were not ready for it at that level. But he has probably lived and learned. When he had a bad L2 finish with Scunny one year despite a reasonable start where they looked in danger of going down he built a new spine with three players one centre back one centre mid and a striker. Don't remember completely but think Ian Barraclough was one of the 3 and they went up the next season. Pity we couldnt find someone who could identify the problem on one of our seasons at the bottom end.

Probably will.....shame that they might not be coming down to meet us on our way back up, but fingers crossed, it could still happen

Just hope he's as successful in his new role as Neil Woods was with us
