Seen as though we all seem to be expert managers, tacticians etc what would you do saturday? 442,433,343?

My First  team choice would be after the last 2 performances and sussing some players out,(INCLUDING INJURED?ABSENT PLAYERS)

                                         Mkeown                                                        Mkeown

wood    Miller     Pearson    ????                                  Pearson Miller Pond

???    Thanoj     Pond      Thomas            or             ???   Thanoj  ???  Thomas

                                Elding           Hearn                                      Southwell Hearn Elding

As you can see i really beleive aswad thomas is a left winger, soon as he goes forward he starts to play well, almost on saturday he wasplaying asif he has been told to not play and just hoof the ball. When he was encouraged by the findus to run with the ball he did and created chances from it.Pond also seems a versatile type of player and looks good going forward could definatley do a job in the middle of the park.As these line ups are in dream land i think are probable line up will be

                                                     Mkeown
                                  Wood     Pearson      Pond    Thomas
                           colbeck         Niven       Disley            Artus
                                        Elding           Pearson

I'm starting to think being typical gtfc that we could probably go there on saturday and win, I assume from posts on here there isnt many going (1 less thing for the players to worry about i suppose ) There just gunna go there do the job and get 3 points no distractions, small crowd-ish. This season i think were goin to be a team that does better on the road mainly due to the fact we get a good positive away following who'll back the team instaed of the usuall depressing feel of bp at present.QUICKER WE GET A NEW STADIUM THE BETTER!

Not sure if picking the right team makes much odds if there's an underlying problem on the day (I picked the same team as the managers last time !  )
But you can only try your best and hope there will be an improvement.

I'm no fan of away draws but perhaps on this occassion "safety first" might be a good idea.
The really good news is we've proved capable on the counter pre-season.
So perhaps those who suggest we could do better away from home may well be right and it could even be a win !

Niven looks prime candidate for a return ?
Just wonder if we might see Hatton in central midfield at some point ?

2 games in 3 days may be a factor but not sure what it could mean.
I'd be tempted to change it round and save some players for a "big push" vs Mansfield....

WREXHAM (hold up/counter-attack slightly experimental)

.................Fleming
.......Ford......Pearson......Pond....
Hatton............Niven...........Thomas
..|.........Disley.......Artus..........|..
..v.................Soares..............v...
....................Cook................

MANSFIELD (direct at pace)

................McKeown
Wood......Pearson......Pond......Thomas
..|..................................................|
..v...........Disley......Thanoj.............v
Colbeck..........................Southwell
....\...............................,........../
.....\....Elding......GPearson..../

Think we'll probably play our strongest team vs Wrexham though !

Let's try to be positive - obviously things have got to improve but perhaps there's no point in building every game up like it's "do or die" ?
If we can get 3 points from these 2 games maybe we can go places.

I think 5 accross the middle with Soares pushed forward behind a loan striker would be my strategy gonig into this game.

So it was the managers fault, then the players, then the fans, now it's Blundell Park.

I'm going to kick the frigging turnstile the next time I go in, the b@stard.

Most have put Soares in there side. What the fook do you see in him?????
Has he ever had even a half decent League game for Town?
God help Town if we have no one better than him in the squad. I would rather see the Tea Lady in the team before him.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Some might disagree but I would go:

              Mckeown

Hatton        Pearson        Ford        Thomas
(wood)
                              Pond
                            (Niven)
                   Thanoj          Soares
                                          (?)
        Colbeck            Cook            Southwell
             (?)            (Elding)

(?) = Would put a new player there if we could get one and put the player already there on the bench.

(PlayerName) is sub or start in that position and put the other player on the bench.

On the off chance that miller is available I would put him at center back instead of ford.
