Scott and Hurst are really beginning to show how important it was to ship out the dead wood and bad attitudes of previous regimes eh?

They have managed to get rid of just about anyone who can pass a ball bar Thanoj, good move, and replaced them with quality. I'm especially pleased we use computers and bleep tests, sports science etc as this has meant that the players are all fitter and can run faster, harder and longer during a game of football. Long distant kicks have improved by 34.5% on height and length with the added bonus of a reduction in passes needed to get the ball for a corner. Corner numbers up again this season but conversions of corners to something slightly exciting is still down around the 1 in 12 mark. Fingers crossed this one picks up so we can do some good headers.

Unfortunately JF has brought in Alan Buckley and both he and Robbie Stockdale do try and get the younger players to move and pass, skills that are totally inappropriate at this level of football. We aren't the billy big boys of the premier league. We shouldnt be looking back to the old days of league one and championship campaigns. Standards are much lower at the club and thats good. Youth training should be all about running, shouting and kicking the ball high and long.

Looking forward to seeing more Pearson stealth tactics, it's cool he can look like a footballer for only a few seconds every match. Some of these part time teams will get caught out by that soon!
