I purchased my first (actually got two) GTFC tops since moving overseas via the fandangled interweb (9 days from GTFC – Brisbane)

Back in the old days a XXL was more than big enough! To say its 'snug' would be a bit of an understatement - and I’m not sure it’s all due to me adding those’ extra shrimps on the barbie’!

It got me thinking - I have not seen the Grimsby play in nearly 10 years! (by all accounts I’m fortunate) What’s the longest period you have gone without watching the black and white strips?

For me, you could line up all of the players PC Dodds ID parade and I wouldn’t have a clue who any of them are.

Went nine months without seeing Town (though summer was about half of that) after my dad died because it didn't feel right going without him to BP.

3 years.

Was in prison for locking true iron up to a lamp post and beat him untill he fell into a coma with a dildo, then let my ferret chew his balls.

From the black and white striped shirts
To the fish in the sea
You'll hear us singing
Coz we are Grimsby.

You won't hear us crying
But you'll hear us shout
Coz we are the Grimsby
And this is our chant.......... Grimsby! Grimsby! Grimsby!

I had every Town shirt home and away from 1992 to 2006, had a few home shirts since, my latest being the 10/11 season top. I didn't see us from the first game of 06/07 to the Wembley 2008 game because of moving / work....bad I know.

The Errea tops since 09/10 have been crap sizing. I'm 6ft2, and 17 stone in the good way, and I used to fit into the XL Nike tops quite easily, but the latest XL Errea tops are far to tight. The 08/09 top was baggy and I could fit in a large, but after then its been tight. The mrs bought for me with my name on the back for a Birthday present a couple of years ago I couldnt even return it to get the size up.
