I guess the point is that the petition, and counter petition, are non specific.

At this stage there is a feasibility study. Once this is done and plans drawn up people will be able to decide whether they are for or against.

The stadium is totally hypothetical at present so nothing to sign for or against as yet.

ah finally a reasonable answer to as why so many haven't shown any interest. But with so many against the idea making alot of noise, surely would put off an investor in the idea and ideas will just be that, IDEAS, and no action will ever be taken. for the same reason I keep saying and that's who would want invest in a town where no one cares or wants anything to happen such as a new stadium and retail complex. What I'm saying is although it may never happen and it maybe just an idea or propaganda to get more fans to go to games (though it can't be as it was the council who started this off, not the club) we should show our support for the IDEA or any IDEA that comes along so that it shows that us as SUPPORTERS and even the people from the town itself want to move forward and welcome any potential investors to town and that we can do this by signing the petition.
what we should really be asking is, do you want to move the club and town forward? do you want to attract new investors to the club and town? do you even care? (not you inparticular, sorry).

I'm a no body so I can't make much of a difference, but I hope people think about it and don't forget about the fact that they (GTFC) want a retail company on board, and that they have chosen peak's park way because it's more likely to attract a retail company on board. And think that if we show interest in the IDEA it coud even attract other investment to the club and the town itself. Think of the bigger picture. Signing the petition can only help! they have 509 against, so we need more. There is something to be for or against and that's the IDEA of the football club moving forward and building a new stadiulm. Never mind, why not the docks, or Macaulay tip or the Great coats site? They'll always be those that say no, and for as long as no one says yes to this site, they'll be other groups maybe even bigger groups if another site comes up. We need to show that we too have a voise and we want it more!

367 have signed it now, will you sign yes? http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/yes_to_gtfc_stadium/

I  have no desire to wet your bonfire Gary but looking at that figure there are a lot of "anonymous" only seconds apart.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

yes I know and there are some that have signed stupidly so many times, but still no reason why others shouldn't sign. so when you think about it there's less than 367.

could do with Dave Boylen sharing his opinion that might inspire others to at least talk about it abit more. Me, I'm a no body like I said, wouldn't be any good from me. Need some one who knows more about these things to speak up.
