Woohoo. Well done to the Helen Glover & Heather Stanning. At last!!!!!

There's a crooked street in Grimsby Town
It's a well worn path I've travelled down
Now there's ruin in my name, I wish i'd never got off the train
And I wish I'd listened to the words you said....
...Don't go down to Freeman Street
Don't go down to Freeman Street
You'll be lost and never found
You can never turn around
Don't go down to Freeman Street

What a wonderful display of athletes at the very pinnacle of their career. A superb display of rowing and it will hopefully spur the other rowers on to gold as well.

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

Bossed it completely didn't they? If Wiggins can do the business this afternoon we'll be up and running!

Never worked on the 4s!

Fantastic race by the pairs though. Looking forward to the medal ceremony (will actually get to see it thanks to the aussies getting silver).

Nearly shed a tear at that national anthem. Fantastic girls!

Here's hoping Brad can make it two this afternoon.

Fantastic wasn't it?
Nice trifecta for me; lived in all 3 countries on the podium (not that there was one) and a citizen of the first two ('tho only ever a pom when it comes to sport).

Bloody 'ell. Great effort there tho. Despite the (awful) commentary I always thought Germany were going to see that out.

So bloody efficient.

I quite enjoyed the commentary in the 8's, "THE BRITISH ARE COMING! THE BRITISH ARE COMING!".

Great achievement by Greg Searle.

Good chances to come in the men's coxless four and lightweight coxless four as well as the women's double sculls and lightweight double sculls. As always, we come into our own in the 'sports you can do sitting down'.
