I know it's not trendy but he was also very good in Heartbeat. Great character actor. R.I.P.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

Nothing wrong with a bit of Heartbeat - may not be trendy as you say but it fills an hour and fills it well.

His passing is very sad; you get the feeling that the principal characters he played - Eddie Yeates, Onslow and Vernon Scripps - were not far from himself in that they may have been rough on the outside but were kind natured and fun to be with.

One of our great understated acting talents, he will be sorely missed.

Mr McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

My abiding memory of Geoff will always be this when "Twigy" and "Jim" created a bit of sit com history.

R.I.P. fella you were great.

My wife used to be involved in Am Dram productions when we lived in Northamptonshire and he lived close by too at the time

He always gave his support to their productions and none of this "airs and graces" mullarky you might expect from actors; he'd just come along to watch just like any of the other local yokel villagers

A real down to earth bloke he was ....RIP!
