How many of the team will be living in the south after the games? Surely some of them will defect.

I reckon in for a penny now, pass it off as deliberate and keep it as an ongoing theme for the whole Olympics. Just claim it's the famous British sense of humour. For example, Austria win a gold - stick Edelweiss on. The Aussies romp to a glorious gold in the Swimming - let's see them beam with pride when A Land Down Under by Men at Work comes on. Maybe for any country that's ever been part of the British Empire we could raise the Union Flag - they'd all take it with the good humour with which it was intended and it'll be the most fun Olympics ever.
