For the final Cleethorpes Carnival this Saturday Grimsby Town are asking for ex players to come forward from all different generations and come on the G.T.F.C. float to say farewell to a project which to my mind was a brilliant advertising item for Cleethorpes and Grimsby.

Apparently there were costs that were getting out of hand ie health and safety and numerous other items as well.

Matt Tees and myself are going to be on the float for starters, has anybody on the Fishy got any players to suggest we could maybe get hold off.

Players who you think have contributed to this wonderful club we have supported over the years.

Who would you like to see on the G.T.F.C. float this Saturday.

It would be brilliant to see players & managers of all generations on board for this.

Paul Groves, Alan Buckley, Macca and other stars of the Wembley year would be great.

Paul Futcher, Super Clive (the real one, not the idiot who hangs about on here), Macca, Cockers, he could drive the float, and a Cardboard cut out of Big Keith Alexander would be nice... Those players are the first ones that spring to my mind but there are many more who deserve to be recognised also...

I'm sure Crofty would get involved if he could take one of his For Sale signs on the float.

Plus he'd come in handy if it rained.

I'll get my coat.
