I'm pretty sure everyone who plays this already owns it but anyway:

FM2012 is available through the Steam download store for £4.99. You can mess around with 442 or 433 all day long.

I'm in the 17/18 season with a new ground due for construction ready for the 18/19 season. That is how long I've had to wait for them to replace Blundell Park. Also, the youth system is rubbish.

I gave up on these games ages ago but see they are selling older versions of champ manager for £2.99. Am I right in thinking they have updated the players and teams etc or is it just the original game?

No, I think the latest will be the last patch that was released for them and not 2011 or 12 seasons.

You can get Championship Manager 01-02 for free from the gamesmakers. 00/01 was probably our best bet at promotion to the Premiership. I seem to remember getting Kanoute on Loan and then permanent.

01-02 was probably the last one I played. Became tooo complicated for me after that. In the good old days you just signed Andriy Sigporrson and Mark Kerr and took Town up in to the Premier League. Now it seems to be all prozone, tactics etc.

Playing against somebody either through the internet either world wide or much easier to do when playing somebody on a different computer but sharing the same internet connection.

Andriy Sigporrson will never be forgotten.

My own Krista Suap from Thailand will always be a Grimsby legend as far as I'm concerned.

doesn't help having to start from non-league now. I played a few seasons as Boston and that is even worse as a part-time club.

A network game tends to be you vs other humans. You connect your computers together either over the internet or via wireless / network cable in your own home.

I have this problem with lots of PC games (Empire Total War and Company of Heroes most recently). You might want to try something called Hamachi

It sets up a vpn and fools your computers into thinking they are on the same network.

In my game Grimsby Town now play in the 40,000 capacity McDermott Stadium. Last season we were knocked out in the Quarter Finals of the champions league by Barcelona on away goals thanks to a 94th minute Cesc Fabregas equaliser. We've won the league in the last two seasons, the FA Cup 2 years ago and won three League Cups in the past 5 years. A Champions League victory still eludes us, hopefully 2021 will be our year!

Can't remember which year it was possible 2002, I could win every game by at least 8 goals with one cm right in the centre with a running line inbetween the to forwards and he would score at least 150 goals a season after that bug I never really got into it again.

bah....I think my new one will only be 16,000. The old games I could never get BP over 30,000. How you managed to persuade Fenty / Furneaux that you needed 40,000 I don't know.

I've never actually asked for them to build a new stadium/improve capacity, it's just happened automatically since the stadium has been full up every week. I have had to resort to threats about "not being able to do my job properly" to convince them to improve the training and youth facilities though.

I am playing last years at the moment and have Yaya Sonogo and Khouma Babacar up top.

Champions League winners 2 seasons on the spin and premier league for the past 5. Playing at a 54k seater stadium and also have 4 kids in my first team squad that have come through the ranks.

I want to have a home grown team win the Champions League ideally.

Is that with Town?

Bezart mazreku and Andreas skalidis... Now there's a strike force!!

CM 01-02 was the last decent version IMO. Football manager tried to do far too much and it wasn't til about 09 or 10 that they got it anywhere near right, but it still didn't hold my ateention for more than a season. Maybe it's just that I got older!

On 2006 you could get Serge Makofo on a free from MK Dons reserves and he would bag at least 20 goals a season up to Championship level, so unrealistic.
