Its grown on me, not happy about the missing content but hopefully it will eventually reappear.

Loading times have also improved alot since it first went up which is an improvement.

I like it. You can see where it's heading, and that is to ImprovementsVille. Quite prepared to hold on until we're there.
Still don't like the new yellow BBC Footy site, strangely.

The New OS is pretty appalling but then so was the previous site, so that's not too surprising.

The new BBC site is also a mess - way too busy. In general, you visit a news web site to read articles, not to try and pick out bits to read from among the large pictures/videos they are trying to foist on you.

For some reason, modern web site designers don't seem to understand that clarity is better than graphical 'bling'.

Slick!

I agree, think it looks much better. Also like the beeb site though, although they urine me off for continually putting wrong info in the conf section as if they just think oh well, no-one'll read it anyway. Unprofessional.

Can't get the new OS on my works computer system (could the old one): so not impressed, it's OK at home though.

I went into my browser history and clicked on gtfc and it went on thesite but it went to probably the server site so i typed into google "grimsby town" and clicked on the website, and i think the main picture is too big, you need to scroll alot

I think just a few of the points made in this thread highlight how difficult it is for a new website design to please the target audience.

For example: Someone mentions about the lack of content on the site, which will hopefully appear. Someone else goes on to mention about having to scroll too much. These points go hand in hand when designing a website. Without scrolling, content on a page is hugely limited. Say if they remove the scrolling on the site, the content, if it's finally added, will look horrible and squashed, and most likely require more than one page to show what is supposed to be listed. This will go on to annoy more people as there will be too much navigation. Web users are impatient, and they're not going to hang around a site very long if they can't find their way around.

Also, scrolling for a website is difficult to control. A websites content will display dependant on the size of the visitors screen resolution. This can't be set in the web design to be specific to each visitor. The typical browser on the most common screen resolution will show around 600 pixels of your web page, after which the visitor will have to scroll.

No what i mean is the main picture is massive and you need to scroll down to see the headline nearly, just a small picture will suffice

I've just cancelled my player subscription, partly because of the price increase, but also because they always see to do "freeview" stuff and offer half price deals for new subscribers.
BTW, I don't like the new site, but I suppose it will be improve as the season starts.

I remember being pelted with ice by the Norwich fans during the Milk Cup match, do you?

Anyone know why when you go to the Team page on the new OS you get 5 pictures of Brightons Ground?

Yeah that did confuse me too. Also, flippin weirdly, I've started getting emails from Peterborough Utd trying to sell me merchandise and giving me details of upcoming fixtures  and offers Was gonna say "also, on an unrelated note", but not completely sure it is!

Yep, this is very bizarre. But, if we can get a new ground that is similar to the Amex, then I'm all for it. That stadium is a beauty!

Maybe this is Fenty's subliminal way of getting GTFC supporters to buy into his new ground idea?

What has happened to the mobile version of the os, this was really good, with the option to go to the full site if you wanted to!

I agree.  I don't mind the new site on a PC but it's useless on
my phone.  I emailed the club today to ask for a mobile version and will report back if I hear anything.
