I'm looking at getting a new TV in the next month or so. Upgrading on my 32 inch Sony Bravia that ive had for about 5 years. Looking to spend between £300-£450 really and looking at around the 42inch screen mark. Can anyone offer any advice/recommendations? There's an Agora HD 3D 42inch for £300 here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Agor.....g%3D1005%26rk%3D1%26and a 42inch JVC here for £350: http://www.comet.co.uk/p/LCD-TVs/buy-JVC-LT-42TG30J-LCD-TV/773700LG LED 42 inch here for £360: http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-42L.....342957475&sr=1-3I've never heard of Agora before seeing that one. Has anyone taken a gamble on an unknown brand before?
I got a decent 50" 3d plasma from Currys for £560, appreciate a bit more than you want to spend but Curry's is the way forward if you want to pick up and go. I'm after a cheap TV for the bedroom. If you want to sell yours, PM me a price. Like I say, it's only for the bedroom though so I'm not looking to pay a lot. Don't care if it's HD as it will be through a co-ax connection.

I'd recommend littlewoods tommy not everyone cup of tea but you can get a top of the range tv size 42 for only 11 pound a week intrest Free. That's what i did anyway alternatively you can pay as little as a 5er but with intrest but I'd advise you to stay well clear of that.
But its up to you, if you have the cash upfront then you mase well buy one but stay away from the less known cheap makes on my experience.

I always buy Panasonic. Best TV's for the price IMO.
Whenever i am looking for electrical items like TV's, i read up on them on a site called Trusted Reviews. Then i make a decision and shop around for a good deal using a site called HOTUKDEALS. Sure you will find something through this site.
Got my last TV from John Lewis who have a no quibble 5 year guarantee on stuff and are generally regarded as the best company to buy stuff from as they have an excellent reputation.
BTW. Stay well clear of crap generic brands such as Agora.

Sorry Vicar i'm not looking to sell my current tele, that's going upstairs for the missus to watch the soaps on when the footy reigns supreme in the living room.
I will have a look at Littlewoods to see what they've got SuperClive cheers. Wouldn't mind looking at an interest free finance over a short term.
Going to have a look at John Lewis too thanks Ginnywings, 5 year guarantee sounds appealing. And yeah i'm wary of getting one of these new unknown brands like Agora and Finlux that offer very low prices, don't think i'd dare pay so much money out for something like that unless it came with a long free guarantee.

John Lewis always used to price match too if you could prove the same make / model that they had on display could be sourced cheaper "Never knowingly undersold " I think their tag line was Then you used to get their free warranty too so it was a no-brainer - get it at the lowest price you can and a guarantee to boot Not sure this applies now with being able to shop over the net but as far as customer service goes you'll have a job beating theirs
