I know its early days, but based on the players we've brought in so far, how do you think this team compares to last seasons ? And more importantly do you think we'll avoid relegation ?

Yes early days.
But Colbeck looks a better "winger" than Coulson ?
Soares looks better than Makofo and Cook looks better than Duffy !

yes, in comparison this seems a much better side. the passing flows better and more direct than the long hoofy crap last season.

The only area we are weaker at present is central defence following the departure of a couple of decent players.

Hopefully, we'll see a good, solid, back-up to Pearson and Miller before too long as well as a spare keeper and a player who can offer a couple of other options in midfield.

Much better than last year, better competition for places and better quality of depth

it helps that the better players we signed half way through last season won't be cup tied and so we won't be in a position where we had 4 central defenders but no one on the bench because of injury and miller being cup tied.

Even then I'd say we're only weaker in terms of depth rather than the first choice pairing. Pearson is a much better player than a year ago and I can't believe anybody would pick Kempson over Miller. Would like to see us bring in two more centre-backs for cover though as three looks a bit thin to me - maybe one with experience and a youngster.

The key statistic is 11th in the league. . . Improve on that and we gave a better team!

To be fair for all his effort, my Gran was a better footballer than Church!
