A signing or two would be nice. We must be at least 5 men light in the squad. I know the managers said be patient, but it is hard to be patient when you are all keyed up and ready for good news.

This is so true, even if we had to wait till early August for the right players, it is worth financially, and for the team. And for people worried about players that get signed during pre-season lacking in fitness and being behind in their training, any player who is worth signing will have started their own personal training already, and becoming as match fit as possible on their own. |

Yes of course I too agree that we have to get the right players. But my worry is that the better players get snapped up first and that it is only the also rans that are left over. We have had enough of also rans in the past and need to get the better players available

I'm half in your camp but there's also the argument the better players are holding out for the best contract/team/location for them. In HandS we trust. Unless they member it up..... |

The thing is Biccys, I see other clubs in our league making signings especially some of the teams that are going to be up there in the table. Then I wonder how many of these players are players that S&H wanted but chose to go to Luton, Wrexham, Mansfield etc instead of us.
It is proper worrying stuff

Wrexham have only signed one player and that was today. Luton and Manfield have alot more money than us, if they are motivated by money they are better off elsewhere. |

If were still needing bodies in this time next month then anyones panic would be justified. All the other teams in this league probably still need a similar amount of new players as we do.

Who says they don't? Luton get 6000 (double us) crowds if they don't have more money there is something wrong, and Mansfield have a chairman that is throwing millions at them, including buying the ground back for them. |

Im getting a bit worried over lack of signings too. What's the point in doing a gruelling pre season if half the squad miss a decent chunk of it?

Funny that, Gateshead and Luton have both released more, Mansfield, Kiddy and Wrexham have released almost as many. Only Southport, Cambridge and FGR of the better teams than us last season have released alot less than us and only two of those have signed more than us. Think your panicing about nothing. Sure we need to sign some more players but we have over a month before the season starts and our transfer activity isn't that much different to most of the other clubs in the division. |
