No improvement in terms of league position and lower than when our previous manager was sacked a year and a half ago.

For all the criticism of Woods and the players he signed, there's no obvious improvement I can see there.  

I wait to be convinced by these guys.

All opinion of course, but the cold hard facts that matter at the end of a season are not that impressive.

Only the Town fans have been impressive this season considering how far off the top 5 we are.


Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

That was flipping shite. We probably had 70% of possession yet their keeper had nothing to do. They had one shot, McKeown makes a pathetic effort to save it and somehow it goes in.

Pretty obvious that they were just going through the motions. None of them could be bothered to play today and most are probably waiting to hear back from their agents on getting out of the club.

We have a higher points total in a stronger division - that's an improvement.

We've scored more goals.

When we go one down you feel like we're still in the game whereas in previous seasons we'd just concede more.

We have the spine of a team - McKeown, Miller, Thanoj, Hearn to build around for next season (at least) whereas we started from scratch last summer.

I agree with you PM myself I belive all though this end of the season was very poor  I do belive we have a good chance of been up there next season with about 5 or6 additions to the sqaud.UTMM.

We could get more points next year, score more goals and still finish 11th.  Not much of an improvement if everyone else has done the same.

Footballing facts is facts - we are worse in terms of league position now than when H&S took over nearly a year and a half ago.

There has definitely been changes, and some might say improvements, in the playing staff, but with the budget we had this has to be classed as an underachieving season.

Not saying they won't be successful, but there has to be some questions about why we finished below teams such as FG and Southport, who have crowds half our size, and I suspect a budget to match.

Unlike you, the end of the season hasn't filled me with optimism for next year!
