How do you think each player has performed, i think its evident that the slow start has cost us a playoff chance but here's how I think each have performed.

McKeown - very good shot stopper not seem much for commanding his area but I'm sure this side to his game he will improve, but has made some excellent stops.  Definately keep.

Wood - hard tackling defender who likes to get stuck in sometimes too much and always gives 100%, can also play in numerous positions such ad RB, LB and CM.  Played well at the start of the season but suspension and injuries allowed Silk back into the side.  Definately keep you know what you get will Brads.

Silk had a bad start to the season trying to find his feet but got another chance when Wood was suspending/injured and Silk never looked back.  Contract runs out not sure whether the managers will keep him but I'd give him a years deal.

Townsend - first season as a pro and never looked phased quick and good in the tackle shame he's only on loan.  Would love to see him again but I very much doubt his chances will still be limited hoping for another Eason long loan.

Garner - has struggled since he came and been in & out the side like a yo yo.  Since his return to the team against Lincoln looked a different defender, and was part of the team that went on the winning run until he got injured and has made a handful of appearances from the bench.  I hope the management team keep him.

Pearson - struggled at the start of the season and only really started to perform when Garner was injured.  Has scored a few goals too, he will definately improve after his first season.  Definitely keep.

Miller - an accomplished defender good in the air and a leader also has a good turn of pace.  Will be a major player for us next year.

I'Anson - promoted from the youth team and has never looked back, shown a lot of potential in his first season and will know doubt looking to establish a regular place in the team.  Has the maturity of an experienced pro.
Hope he signs a new deal and I'm sure he will.

Church - struggled in his first season and went in loan to gain more experience.  Came back and played ok in the appearances he made.  Classed as a headless chicken but needs to be more consistent not too sure whether S&H will keep him regardless if we've paid a fee.  But deserves a second chance and if no improvement has been made up until January maybe it's worth loaning him out or letting him go.

Disley - I like Disley likes to get forward and good on the ball needs to score a few goals.  However had been an ever present captain for us but at times has carried the midfield.  Also has been playing with an injury in recent months which wouldn't have done him any good.  Definately keep

Artus - another one who's struggled until Christmas but has shown he is more than capable not sure what his best position is CM or LM.  Technically good and has good passing skills but needs to chip in with a few more goals.  Also been instrumental during the winning run and missed his set pieces when he got injured.

Thanoj - another youth player who made the step up and has shown is more than capable, Hoping he gets better.  Has good range if passing and we've seen he can shoot.  Not sure if he was offered a new deal and whether he gas accepted it.  A must keep.

Soares - hasn't really turned out the way I'd hoped, the goalscoring midfielder has struggled whether this is due to settling in the team, hoping a full pre season and might be a different player.  Not out of contract but others wouldn't be bother if he was let go.

Coulson - one of my favourite players just wish he'd take his player on more often has the pace and skill to do it.  Rejected a new deal whether this be because it was lower than what he was on or because he wants a fresh start.

Elding - enjoying his football and very passionate has the ability to create scoring chances just needs to be a bit more clinical.  Hit it off with Hearn early doors and had scored a decent amount for a target man. Loves Town which shows by his reduced deal.

Hearn - has the work rate of a work horse but struggled to find the net at the start of the season probably trying too hard.  Once he scored he was deadly.  Rightly crowned player of the year must keep him if we are to push for promotion, and although there maybe others like Liam I would let him go until next year.

Duffy - had chipped in with a few goals from the bench but hasnt been the same player when starting, not got a lot of work rate decent In the air but cab see him being released as there are better players out there.  U would release him.

Winn - local lad on loan from Stevenage has the ability hoping he signs permanently, has good pace and maybe needs to be more direct.  Keep

Panther - thought I'd mention him as I think he played well for us maybe worth another look.  A defensive midfielder who reads the game well might not be the best distributer of the ball but was part of the winning run team, would like to sec him back.

KH - Mason - quick and not afraid to run at defenders nit seen a lot since he signed due to the form of Elding and Hearn but definately worth another years deal.

Please feel free to make your own assesment and if I've missed anyone please feel free to add them.

Accurate and interesting read !
Cheers Meza, enjoyed that.

Interesting you mentioned some players who were out the side did ok when they came in. (cough wink....  )

Quoted from Meza
Soares - hasn't really turned out the way I'd hoped, the goalscoring midfielder has struggled whether this is due to settling in the team, hoping a full pre season and might be a different player.  Not out of contract but others wouldn't be bother if he was let go.

Think you're right, others wouldn't be bothered right now.
I say beware new players fitting in and finding their feet !

Have read 1 or 2 fans who saw him at Telford suggesting he might be the one to break forward and score goals in advanced positions ?
Haven't really seen much of him but from what I've seen, strikes me there's skill and potential there...
So when the managers say the ability is there (and you look at his goals for H&Y) I trust their judgement !

"Soares to soar" next season is my gut feeling....   (though I reserve the right to revise during pre-season !  )
