There were probably a few more but i didnt hear an official figure. To have the number of police around the ground must have meant a copper to every 3 or 4 fans. Recently there was a suggestion from a senior police office that football clubs pay in full for the cost of policing games. IF that was in force today Telford would have had to have paid their entire gate money to the old bill

Lager Top Drinker Posts: 317 Posts Per Day: 0.06 Reputation: 81.19% Rep Score: +5 / -1 Approval: -1	ther are a few pictures of telfords hooligan element under police gaurd in a cleethorpes pub, maybe with our reputation, our last  away game of the season the local force might have been expecting our hooligan element to show up... police at football is a must in my opinion, its just about getting the numbers right, if it did kick off and ther was major disturbances alot of people would complain about the lack of police.unfortunaltly due the English past hooligan exploits ther will always be a police presence, its just when they treat normal fans like scum that irritates me. they have a job to do, and most are very helpful and can have a bit of banter.
