Another way to raise cash, if it comes in force how about charging the pubs and clubs for an area of one mile around them for late night vandelism and violence

Just a case of the police wanting and seeing a way of getting more money for them to spend and empire build.

The UK has most CCTV  coverage in the world so Towns and surrounding areas can be monitored.

The laws have been manipulated by the police, some may say to snare football fans and gain more convictions.

No one denies The UK have had problems and some games provide serious disorder but is it on the scale of the 70's?

Also the big clubs draw fans from other areas. These fans travel to 'home' games. It seems sometimes a militant/pack behaviour can be generated with us versus them attitude as they pass through other territory's. If people supported their local clubs we may not see so many problems as different people from different areas would not cross paths during a footballing weekend.....just a thought

If courts and the legal system had fines in line with the cost of the crime, the police would have a bigger kitty.

Oh yeah fine those committing the crimes more! Problem being the majority of those fined don't have the money to pay the fines so it becomes a fruitless exercise as £1 a week over 90 years doesn't add much more to the judicial pot!

If you work in the public sector there is no pay rise for the foreseeable future, why should a very well paid Police Officer who can supplement his pay with over time be any different.

Obvious solution is hard labour camps, lights out at 8pm 12 hour shifts, work them to the bone, tire them out so they can not cause problems whislt serving a sentence
