I originally posted just 'no', admittedly not opening the link thinking that the link might take me to a story about some xfactor contestant announcing that they are planning to cover Here Comes the Sun. On second thoughts, I decided to open the link and was surprised with what I read. I'm sure I read/heard that some non entity 'pop star' was going to cover this soon, so if that's the case, I for one would love to see these lads record it and release it and go toe to toe with all this manufactured music balderdash that is constantly rammed down our throats.

Competition like the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Animals, the Hollies, the Byrds, the Shadows and Elvis.....much better than JLS and One Direction these days.

Sorry that is utter rubbish, but you are entitled to your opinion of course.  The Beatles IMO paved the way in the sixties  along with some other bands of course (stones etc)

I usually don't have any problems with the opinions you express Aaron as I know you're young and won't be the most worldly wise of individuals so might spout the odd bit of outspoken nonsense now and again, but in my opinion, you are well wide of the mark with this statement

I doubt that any other group has had as much of an effect on popular culture as the "Fab Four" and they've inspired generations like no others

Mind you I'm biased....I fell in love with both The Beatles & Town in 1964 as an impressionable young kid myself and have never stopped my admiration for them both.

Well i prefer old music to modern music, but not the 60S the bee gees and david bowie and jona lewie do for me, oh and black lace are good aswell
