If he'd only scored the one and we'd won 2-1 I don't think it would have been so bad but to come back here and score twice to equalise after we'd been 2-0 up meant he wouldn't be easily forgiven.

If push comes to shove in the JPT final though, I'd rather have Jack get the winner's medal than Alan

He came in on a free, scored the best part of 30 goals, got plenty of assists, then we got a nice fee for him. Yes I was disappointed to lose him but I don't think he owes us anything

Why? He's covering up the badge as he's embarrassed by it not being our badge... Probably.

Any badge-kissing/touching/fondling by a professional footballer is nothing more than an embarrassing attempt to curry favour with the fans.

Unless they are really stupid, like Rooney, for example. A reported life-long fan of the Toffees yet now he's the Manyoo badge-kisser supreme. What a mammary.

Lester only gave the Lower Findus a bit of stick when he scored because he was getting excrement from some people in there before he scored.

I don't have a problem with him for that. I'd rather question why some of our fans were giving abuse to a player who always gave 100 per cent for us, was with us for about 6 years, was a great player for us at a high level and netted us £300,000 when he moved to Forest.

If it's a choice of Lester vs Connell at the weekend I'd rather see Super Jack succeed.

Maybe he was getting stick for diving all over the shop trying to con the ref to get our players booked/sent off and winning free kicks or pens in dangerous areas. He's a cheat, always has been. Half his goals have come from pens he cheated to win.

Is that controversial enough for everyone? Plenty of truth in it though!!

I don't recall many complaints when he was doing it for us though.

I was never a fan of Lester's either and it does surprise me that he's rated so highly by so many Town fans. His strike rate was pretty poor (17 goals in over 130 games I think). He seemed to spend too much time trying to con referees into awarding penalties rather than scoring goals. Maybe that's because he was more talented at the former than the latter.

Ok, he went on to have a successful career but I just didn't rate him when he was here.

Personally thought everybody loved Jack Lester, very clever player indeed and at  a young age. Prefer him to win it over Connell everytime.
