well how we failed to score i havnt got a clue, all the possesion and shots, what we need is this attacking midfielder who can shoot for long range, obviously we wont get him but we need the same sort of player as steven gerrard and frank lampard is, somebody who pass and somebody can score around 10 or 15 a season and somebody who can ping them in for long range a bit like thomas pinault

We are not good enough. Dont be blinkered by the good run, the results tho good defied the actual performances of the team. When you have a couple of decent strikers you will always be in with a chance of a win but generally we dont have a midfield that can control a game for 90mins and chip in with the odd goal to suppliment the front two (three including Duffy).


For all the strides being made and in particularlly the last few months, the managers have yet to convince me that they know how to put together a balanced, quality midfield.

Woods team wasnt as bad as people said and this team isnt as good as people think. Honest, balanced views are hard to come by round here.

Just accept the limitations and hope they can put right the wrongs of this season next (and that the team doesnt get gutted in the summer transfer window).

Agree with this. When we play well, we're good enough for the play offs. But recently its just gone downhill for some reason.

Problem is, as a side which you'd think would have pace and movement, we don't seem to have any of that at the moment. York on Tuesday had it in abundance and even against Tamworth today (a very average side) we were too slow and too predictable.

Simply put we're just not good enough to get into the playoffs and unless something drastically changes in the next few games we'll end up finishing outside of them.

Nailed it on the head there lowerfindus.
I got the feeling after the Bath game we might not be good enough - Even though we won 6-0!
Im still hoping we can turn things around. For a team hoping for promotion, the goals we've scored from central midfield just isnt good enough.
Just hope we can keep Hearn to mount a challenge next season.


Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong  
Update:  I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly

Firstly we missed Thanoj with is spot on passing when I watched Disley today one could see him looking for the pass which Thanoj nearly always puts through
Eldin did not seem to be up for abit off key last 2 games I liked the effort of Winn  and KHM I belive him and Soares will be ok for next season .
I also hope we keep Winn as he works hard for the team I rekon that we would have stormed it if they had not parked those 2 center back there like brick bog houses i hope S&H can talk them round for Tuesday  because OI can  see our season slipping away and us having to spend another season in this dam shite hole of a league.

My take on the situation is that we are not yet good enough to beat the better teams in the league.  Based on that assumption, it is no surprise that our positive momentum has disappeared and we've started losing one or two games ... look who we've been playing!  Today, I think we were better quality than Tamworth, but the problem was, we busted a gut trying to get something against York, and there was massive disappointment right at the end of the game.  With the best will in the world, the players looked jaded today.
